Where is my sim?

I mad a family of three. A mom witch, dad ghost and ghost kid. I set their house up, got them jobs and then played a different house. Today when I went to play them, the sim ghost baby is gone. He shows on their family tree but he is not there. What happened?

The game automatically kills off inactive ghost babies. Which sucks, but that's why he's missing.

Possibly toddlers. I know that children and up will survive in an inactive household.

I had inactive toddler twin toddlers survive to adulthood, BUT I had and 2 inactive ghost adults disappear! So I think on my game it's just inactive ghosts. :(

I'm pretty sure my game erases ALL non-played ghosts as I have placed three in my town that have now vanished, including the infant mentioned in the original post. :(
