Selling Items in Others' Household Inventory
« on: September 24, 2010, 06:45:29 AM »
I just had the strangest thing happen.  I'm playing in Barnacle Bay and doing some research of the new town.  My Sim was visiting a new friend who has a toddler.  It was late and the little girl was sleepy, but there was no crib.  Since I'm not playing a challenge, I used testingcheatsenabled to buy a crib on that lot.  For no particular reason, I clicked on the Family Inventory button while in Buy Mode.  The new friend happens to be a Five Star Chef and there was a Minus One Kelvin refrigerator in the Family Inventory!  I tried to place it in his kitchen for him, but I couldn't remove it.  However, I could SELL it!  It brought $4,000 to my family funds!  I have never seen such a thing.  I've often used the testingcheats to place cribs because I hate to see the little darlings with no place to sleep.  But I've never thought to click any of the inventories.  This is interesting in another way, too, because now we know that townies that we don't control get the same career rewards that our own Sims get.  :D

Well that is interesting, to say the least.  I have never thought to even look in the inventory.  I like to fix other peoples houses up too, but will have to try that one, lol.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?
