Uploading attachments
« on: May 05, 2014, 04:13:31 PM »
Hi,

I've taken some in-game screenshots that I would like to upload to the forum however my shots are .jpg. I get an error message saying that I can only upload mp4, mp3, Simscreenshot, rar and zip. I thought a jpg or png would be acceptable. Can anyone help me out. I'm using a MAC with Mavericks OSX.

thanks!

I was confused about that when I joined the forum. You don't use that to upload photos, only to upload sims packs. You need to use a photo hosting service like Photobucket or Imgur. Hope this helps

I want to add an attachment to this message and I can't seem to do it. I have photoshop but can't save in a format that will allow me to attach a file to this posting.

Not photoshop. Photobucket. There is a link action that you can use and just paste the link code.

Ah, I understand now.

You cannot upload anything to the forum direct. Lisa46 is correct, you would need to upload your image files to an image hosting service, then include the link within the body of your post. You can still use Photoshop for image editing and saving, but "attach a file to this posting" is not doable.

Edit: The exception is sims3pack, again as Lisa said. :)

I hope this helps answer some questions.
