Little Legacy

Hey everyone, I'm back! So it's been a long time since I've written on here, and I intend to keep this one going as long as I can. I would love some feedback on the story and stuff to see how it goes. I'm kind of ahead of where this bit starts now, so I'll try to keep everything ordered and not confuse you. But here we go! A new little family for us to work with. Also, the style idea I got for the narration came from LivvieLove's story "Reaper Genetic Legacy Experiment". If you haven't read it, go do so, it's amazing. I'll have a link to the first chapter at the end!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 1: New Town. New Life.

She was new to the town, her name was Darlene Little-

"Wait! Are you serious?! I got my name after a movie about a rat?!"

No. You know very well it was randomized.

"Well thanks for caring enough to even come up with an original name."

Would you have preferred Alice Spunklebottom?

"Um...No?"

Then I suggest you quit complaining, because I can give you a name change still. Not that hard to do at City Hall.

"Okay, I'll be quiet."

Anyways. Darlene Little. The new sim in town, starting a Legacy that would wipe out them all.

She had a small home, well technically it was a mobile home, one bedroom but a good starter for her, she knew it wasn't permanent. So it would change eventually. But she decided to make the best of what she had. She knew pouting would do her no good.

Soon after laying down roots a strange metal statue appeared on the lawn, her burning curiosity was almost insatiable. But she stowed the mysterious thing into the family inventory. A problem for another day. Maybe for another generation.

After this she left for the town, she needed a job in order to thrive here. She needed the money. But more than anything. She needed a husband. She knew it was a requirement to move forward in life. After heading to the Bistro to get a job in the Culinary career, she met a few of the people. Such as Mr. and Mrs. Alto.

And a handsome mystery man that she bumped into outside of the grocery store while exploring the small town. She knew he was a family man, just something in his eyes told her that.

The hearts burst over their head as the notifications showed the attraction. Our lovely Founder was swept away by his charm. They talked all afternoon until he had to leave to get to work. Afterwards Darlene returned home where she was still infatuated with the man. She settled into her chair and began to write, she wrote a letter for him, completely oblivious to everything with that look that she was twitterpated.

The next day after she mailed the letter she realized she was going to be late for work, so she switched at the Summer Festival that had just moved to town, and ran to work.

When she returned home she discovered that the sink was broken.

Darlene was a handy sim, along with neat and a natural cook. But above all, she was family oriented, that was why her wish was to raise five children. She'd been an only child and wanted a big family, especially now that her parents were both dead.

-------------------------------------------------

I know its pretty short for a first chapter, but I was just trying to get all the dull stuff of the beginning parts out of the way. Next one will be better! Promise! Anyways, lemme know thoughts so far. Not much to go off of, I know. But who do you think the Mystery Man is?

BTW, as promised! LivvieLove's story. It's amazing. Almost made me cry when I was reading it again last night :)

I'm guessing... Leighton Sekemoto. He's dressed like an athlete and has dark hair.

Yup, it's Leighton Sekemoto. A lovely candidate if I do say so myself :).
Anyways, after this the chapters should get better, I'm still getting stuff set into motion. It may be a while before the next one comes up so try and be patient, I got schools and works stuffs to focus on. I will play and get the pictures, I just won't be uploading is all. I'll see the next time I can get it up. Anyways, hope you like it. Leave some comments and love below. Maybe what you would like to see? Names or something you might want me to use for future babies.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 2: Life and Love

The next few weeks became the permanent schedule she was adhering to. First in the morning she'd wake up, have breakfast, shower, then go into town to the Summer Festival and spend that time with Leighton until work called. Leisure Day was approaching and they were planning a fun day together.

Leighton had stayed the night a couple times since they first became an exclusive thing. That was an interesting night. It was a full moon, and Darlene had been taken over by the Lunacy. So surrounded by zombies she began to flirt and woo Leighton. He was kind and he wanted a big family as well. He'd told her about his son, but she never actually got to meet the boy.

When Leisure Day came the two of them went to the Festival to spend the day together, followed by a trip to the local pool that was surprisingly not overcrowded even though it was boiling hot. Darlene and he splashed around until the time came for the movies to start playing at the nearby cinema. The two went in to one of the crappiest chic flicks and instead of enjoying the film they sat in the back of the rows laughing at the corny jokes. Afterwards they went to the bistro where Darlene worked for dinner and dessert. To finish off the night they took a trip up to the falls.

Darlene had been thinking about what she would do, she knew how she wanted this to be, and she knew what she wanted to do. They stood before the falls when she turned to Leighton.

"Leighton, you love me, correct?"

"More than anything," he said as he embraced her.

"Then marry me. Here and now."

"Are you serious?"

Darlene fell down to one knee. "Please Leighton, I've never been more serious about anything in my life, and I'm serious about you. I want us to make that big family we both always wanted." She pulled the box out of her pocket and opened it for him. "Marry me?"

His hands went to his mouth as he stared in shock before a wide smile broke across his face. "Yes!" he said. The ring went to his finger and she stood, she switched to her formal wear, however Leighton preferred to stay in his uniform. So there on the small island in the lake, they were wed, giving each other the sappy smiles as they recited vows that they made up on the spot.

"Leighton Sekemoto, I hereby take you, as my husband, to keep and remain faithful to until the day I die. I will bare your children and bring into our lives nothing but bliss and happiness. I hereby take you as my forever soul mate, my best friend, my other half...My husband." Darlene said as she slid the ring onto his finger.

"Darlene Little. I hereby take you as my wife, the person to go to with any problem and open my heart to. I swear to never lie or cheat in our marriage. I will be there to lift you up when you're down, and to tend to you when you're sick. I will stay by your side and be your one and only, as you will be for me. I hereby take you as my queen, my goddess, my beautiful bride, my wife."

He slid the ring onto her finger and they stared for a while at each other. After the traditional kiss, the two returned to the small home in town. On the way back Leighton called his mother, told him the news and requested he take his son, Sam, to our place where he would remain.

Upon entering the house Darlene noticed a door that wasn't there before, she walked over and opened it only to see Sam's nursery.
"When did this get here?"

What? I'm not going to make you keep a toddler in your room with you, it's your wedding night, I know what will happen. Let's not scar the poor child.

"Are we in the hole?"

Give me some credit. This is just the basics, I'll make it better later on.

"Thanks Watcher."

Naturally, now go enjoy your wedding night. You're a Mrs. now.

However Darlene decided to be a little spontaneous and shoot tradition in the foot.

Hey everyone, so unfortunately I've lost my file. I'll get myself caught back up to where I was, luckily it wasn't that far, but it may take a bit. I promise to get another chapter up as soon as I can. I just ask you be patient. My game freezing and crashing to the point I literally couldn't open it anymore. So I did the most annoying thing ever, which is the uninstall and reinstall. Seriously, this better work though. Anyways, this is just a quick update. I'll just need a bit to catch up is all.

Hey guys, so I know I said I was going to try and play up to  where I am in the game. But I've decided that this Legacy will be scrapped. I will be starting a new one however. This one will get moved to the Graveyard. But if you guys are willing to stick with me my next will come up probably later this evening or something. Again, I'm terribly sorry.

That's too bad. :(

I'm moving this to the Graveyard at the author's request. The author can revive it at any time by contacting a moderator.
