Screen Resolution Problem

So I'm running Windows 8.1 (recently updated) screen resolution is 1366 x 768.
My sims is in fullscreen but the bottom section with needs, lifetime wishes etc has become noticeably smaller, and while game is loading from main menu there are spaces on the side. I have no idea on how to solve this problem. Please help? Thanks.

In the Sims go to the options and change the resolution in the game. There's are several options there so just keep switching until you find one that looks good to you.
