Help. 'Plan Outfit' is missing?

Pleas help me? It's been several months since I played TS3 and I feel like I am missing something. I reinstalled and patched just a few days ago. I was going along today and decided I wanted to change my Sims' outfit. I bought a dresser and clicked on it, but it only gave the option to 'change' outfit. So I can change into my night clothes or swimming clothes etc, but I cannot plan an outfit. I also noticed that my mirror doesn't have the option to change my appearance anymore.

Are these options gone? Did I miss something?

I still have the options with the dresser and the mirror.  I am not certain as to what may have caused the issues you are having.  Have you tried exiting the game and restarting your computer then go back into the game?  If not, then try that and let us know if it worked or not.

I did a full reinstall and re-patch earlier today. Is there something I might have to enable? I have tried three different dressers (all from the base game).

Was your Sim pregnant or in a work uniform?  You can't plan an outfit in either of these instances.

She was pregnant, but had the baby (yesterday). I am still playing the same household from the save file.  Do you think maybe that made it glitch for the entire household? I am going to make a new game and see what happens.

It's possible.  Have you tried to Plan Outfit again after the birth of the baby?  Also, is it grayed out or not there at all when you click the dresser?  If it's greyed out, hover over it and it will tell you why you can't use it.

Just to add to what Pam said, I have had that problem if the sim is in work uniform, so I have to get them to change to their everyday outfit first. And you can't do it during pregnancy...

It wasn't grayed out. It was just gone. I tried on the both the female and male characters before scouring the internet for a solution. There was an option for change outfit and change to work uniform.

I tried it in another household and it is there, so I went back to the original household and it is still missing. It must just be bugged =(
