A Little Bit of Lag on Speed 3

I've recently been playing with Master Controller, Story Progression, and Woohooer.  For the most part, my game is running fine.  But my husband (and I) notice that when using speed 3, it does lag.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I am currently going through and cleaning up files, doing backups like I've read in one of the stickies.  I thought I found something on this before but I can't seem to track it down.
