Hello All! Life has calmed down a bit here and I have been able to go back to playing this file. Lucas has just aged up to a teenager, so i thought i would give a quick update to let you all know that I live.

Lucas walking around the house like a boss

Parker learning some new instruments to impress the orchestra - lvl 8 of 10 in his carrer

Gwen has a new act that takes place in a Haunted Mansion at Night - it is an 18+ show for some of the performance venues. During this show at the brotherhood of fine fellows the household passed 100k in savings.

Lucas is a party animal, so he invited some kids from school for a costume party.

Lucas finally turned into a teen. His father has promised to make some time to teach him Piano, but he really wantes to learn Guitar and maybe Drums. Parker told him the drums are not an instrument that is meant to be played alone since it is merely percussion, not real music,  blah blah blah. Dad can be so stuck up sometimes. Lucas wants to learn to rock out.

What a great way to tell a story! I love the whole three different timelines thing; very fun. I think I would've voted for the second timeline, if I had found this in time. I look forward to seeing more, if life gives you time to update. Sorry to hear about your father-in-law. My family had its own fight with cancer; it sucks--to put it mildly.  ;) Anyway, bookmarked.

Update yay! I got to play a little over a week of HS this time. Some good things happened. I'm not really doing story for this, mostly because I'm just not in the mood. I will be fully writing when I hit the actual timelines, which won't be until he ages up to adult - probably next weekend. I have been reading other stories and noticed a lot of people have their challenges fully completed before they ever start posting, which makes a lot of sense. It's a bit late for that now though... lol.

So our dear lucas has been getting instruction from his pop on the classical instruments, but he begged for a drum set which his mom bought him eventually since he got good grades in school. One day as he was walking by a pub he saw one of his classmates playing upright base in the snow for tips - but it sounded much more jazzy and lively than anything his father had ever taught him. The kids name was Johnny, and Lucas invited him over to jam on the weekend.

A school dance was coming up so I invited all the girls over one day to see who he was attracted to. He spent the whole day talking to this girl, Maria Best. She is from one of the rich families in Starlight Shores, who had 5 kids! He invited her over for the jam session too, and she sat right down at the keyboard and started to rock out. We have the makings of a Garage Band!

After trevor went home Lucas spent some more time with maria, and even asked her to the dance - he won prom king and they took their prom pics in their winter clothes lol.

Gwendolyn is loving married life, winning all the sim fests, and aging beautifully.

That's all for now folks - Lucas has the easy life now, but soon there will be decisions!

Lucas was such a cute toddler.  I think he and Maria will make gorgeous nooboos!  ;)

I call shenanigans!! Here I am happily playing sims, Lucas and Maria just had a lovely date at the Winter Festival, everything is going fine, and then my screen pans over to Gwen to show me this!

My story does not include another baby!! You are messing with my plot!! bad sims....
And of course, it's not just one baby - that would be too easy. It's twins!

Ashton

and Annabelle

My sims don't live very long lives, so Lucas will end up having to take care of the teens...life is hard!

Welcome Aston and Annabelle.  And if your Sims don't live too long, at least Lucas will still have some family at hand. ;)

A quick but signifigant update - Teen time is over, and the timelines have been split! (ie my 3 save files have been created). At this point I will start writing again in a much more eloquent way than I have been. I am taking 2 college courses and working starting this week, so time will be short, but I do plan on playing. Here is something to look forward to though.

Lucas is of course stuck taking care of the kids a lot since his parent are so busy. they are adorable little tykes though. 100% Gwen. I have been on woohoo patrol ever since to make sure there are no more surprises.

I set up a lovely party area outside for his birthday, and then it started hailing so I moved some bits into the Garage. Johnny and Maria aged up first.

Then it was Lucas' turn. I have to admit I was nervous - the teens always look so awkward. I really shouldn't have been worried - here is a sneak peek :)

Needless to say I will be taking a lot of pictures of him lol. I will have to zoom in closer, or fix the resolution so you can see his gorgeous baby blues.

Wow Lucas is gorgeous as a teen.  Did he pick up the brooding trait because he looks so serious.   ;)

That is actually him as a YA - and no brooding, it's just the curve of his lips I think. I will try to take some pics of him smiling, I promise he does occasionally lol.

I am having some technical difficulties in game - it seems sending all three of the band mates to university is just more than the system can handle, but I am going to try some different ways today.

This is a really fun story to read.  I like how you give the different scenarios for us to choose from to decide how the story will go.  Glad to see that Lucas was chosen from the first set, as he would have been the one I voted for if I had read this in time for the vote.  Looking forward to see what you have in store for Lucas!

I have been absent, but I am booting up my game for the first time in a few weeks now to play :) School+work+sciatica means I have to plan when to play very carefully from now on or I don't get time to play at all lol. I was un-able to get all the kids to the university lot together, and I can't get the in-neighborhood colleges to work, so I had to ditch my first few attempts and think up new stories. I think it's good though since it forced me to think a little outside the box. Now I have to catch up on all the stories I have fell behind in here on the forum

To those who were patiently waiting for more Lucas - I apologize. I was messing around with mods and screen capture software and CC and broke the Sims 3 - I had to do a complete re-install and these save files were corrupted. In a way its good because it forced me to clean out my game. I have some new ideas for a legacy that I am playing with, but it will be some time before it becomes a reality. Working 40 hours and having sick family members takes away from play time and writing time way more than I would like... :( Thank you for your support, and know that the stories on here keep me going when I cannot play my own game.
