Missing Traits When Had Seven

Is there a way to get back lost traits? I had seven, but later I edited my sim  and am back to five. One is highlighted for attending university, and I have four more. The one I got for being a Level 10 nerd is gone. I tried going back to level 9 and then up to 10, but no additional trait option appears. When I do testingcheats and edit sim, I only get five trait slots.

I think it is impossible to got back anymore. After all even if you use edit again (testingcheats) it will only give you 5 slots.

It might be possible to get the traits back from earning another degree or reaching the higher levels of another social group. I may need to test that out for myself, though...
