Meeting a Social Faction Sim at Univ

Hi, I have a sim at univ who wants to meet a Jock. She has met a couple of them, one who was lev 2 and one who was lev 10, but the game just will not recognize the fact that she met them or satisfy her wish. The first one is a roomie, but the other one is not. Any ideas for why this is happening?
