Is there a method in allocating roommates to a purchased additional home? After purchasing a secondary home and enabling the service they still appear on my private property.

Hmm, I think it should work if you adopt them as roomies whilst you're on the second lot and wait for them to get added to your house.  I'm not sure if that works though, haven't tried it myself.  I think you could also attempt to "go here with..." and see if that works.
