PS3 console Help and useful Tricks
« on: February 17, 2014, 04:50:56 PM »
I have been playing sims for a few years now on PC, XBOX and PS3 and I've picked up a few things along the way, one of them being a very frustrating thing that happened to me a few days ago on my ps3. A ghost followed me home and WOULD NOT leave. He was eating my food, sleeping in my bed even playing babysitter to the baby.
I was so annoyed by it. I thought I'll just ask it to leave but there was no option.
I thought as it was eating, pooping and sleeping it might possibly die AGAIN so I built a wall around it and set it on fire, to my frustration the ghost just simply put the fire it out  >:(
I was just getting ready to punch my tv  :P when by accident I managed to get rid of him. This is how I did it.

Call the ghost into your garden, a part where there is no trees or objects. Pause it and build a tiny wall around the ghost. Just to keep it from being a nause. Now throw a party. When all your guest's arrive, have your party but just before it starts ending ASK ALL YOUR GUEST TO LEAVE, the ghost should dissapear  ;D it worked a treat for me.

MONEY

Unlike the PC version you cant really use loads of cheats on the console, and if you do you loose your ability to unlock trophies and other things. I found a great way of bumping up my money when I first move into a new house. When you create your sims make sure that when you select there traits select them all to have the Kleptomaniac trait. Then every night when the karma resets or at 12am you can send your sim's on a robbing spree. The library is a good place to start. You can get $800 for a PC that you can steal. There are roughly around 4 computers in the library. You must to this in private though as if another sim sees you your sim wont steal anything.  I usually have one stealing from up stairs and the other from down stairs. You can only steal 3 things a day. I would make sure you leave before 12am as getting the cab and all of that does take some time sometimes. Teens can also have the Kleptomaniac trait but as most sims can only steal after dark, i.e 12AM this make it harder to use the teens to do it. As they have a curfew at 10pm but it can be done. You just have to keep cancelling being sent home, and steal again quickly before the cops find you again. If you have 3 adults with this trait and stealing nightly you can pull in around $5000-$7000 a night. It helps a lot believe me.

Babies Boy or Girl?

For a GIRL When pregnant eat 10 Water Melons.
For a Boy When pregnant eat 10 Apples.

I do have other little tricks but I cant remember the other ones just right now. Will post more if anyone is interested. I'm happy to answer any questions if you have any.

Wow those are great tips.  I've had that issue with the ghost but in other similar situations.  I've had guests over my house and eventually if you don't ask them to leave sometimes they start doing things in the house as if they live there, taking food out of fridge and sleeping (not napping) in your beds.  The option to ask them to leave is gone so now you have a freeloader.

I've also had a couple of situations where my sim comes home and finds a ghost in their house.  A ghost of a stranger at that.  I find them on my couch watching TV then they start acting as if they live there and you can't ask them to leave.

It's so annoying.
