I realize I am only talking to myself...but well, it works for insane sims, why not me?
I found the half-timbering (wall covering, miscellaneous, barn) and the oriel windows. Very nice. I also found in my research an old Tudor castle built with "raspberry brick," and have enjoyed hours of trying to imagine what that looks like in my own sim house.
I was wrong about columns being Tudor, as I see from the illustration of various Tudor castles that they used a kind of hollow brick column at entrances. Nice that sims3 actually allows us to stretch those columns up to 2 stories.
Started my family in Buccaneer Bay in honor of Sir Francis Drake the pirate and admiral of the British fleet.
