Keeping Up With the Joneses - Graveyard
« on: August 07, 2014, 07:05:12 PM »
Welcome to Bridgeport

Our Founders settled on the Civil Suites in that 'fair' city.

Even though Civil Suites are constantly being renovated, a penthouse is still a penthouse, and our King and Queen moved into the penthouse

Both the Mr and Mrs want to be illustrious authors, and while they have both painted and sketched, they are focusing on writing for their first Reproduction Day requirements. Both have become self employed writers (level 5 for Mr Jones and level 6 for Mrs Jones) and are prolific writers. They are writing no more than 5 books in any genre as they both wish to remain as generalist writers at this point. Instead, both have the desire to become speed writers.

As you can see in the above picture, they have also painted and sketched, and they are using their sketches as their first reproduction day collection, deciding to save their books (best seller Masterpieces anyone?) for their requirements for a later reproduction day.

So, why are they keeping their faces hidden? They dislike the paparazzi almost as much as they dislike vampires ... Bridgeport may have been a bad choice for them in that case, hey? But that's why they came to Bridgeport, they wanted to replace the vampires with their own kind ... poisoned apple anyone?

FINALLY at week 5 day 5, Mr Jones closed down his computer. He had just done it! He had reached the exalted rank of level 10 of the writing career and like his Mrs had reached the lofty heights of being a Blockbuster Writer. He invited his good friend Wayne Bumble over, tossed a potent friendship potion at him and the very last requirement had been met. So, after midnight, Mr and Mrs Jones retired to their bedroom to bring their first batch of witchboos into the unsuspecting fabric of life that was Bridgeport.

The qualifying items
Maxed Career - Blockbuster Writer - Mr and Mrs Jones
Skill Challenges - Proficient Writer and Speed Writer - Mr and Mrs Jones
Unique Best Friend - Wayne Bumble - Mr Jones and Vladimir Schtick - Mrs Jones
Unique LTHR - Discount Diner - Mr Jones and Complimentary Entertainment - Mrs Jones
Collection - 5 sketches - 3 from Mr Jones and 2 from Mrs Jones value of 163 simeloens.

So with all that in place, time for the witchboos!

I think my first Reproductive Day was sometime in Week 5. I can't help wondering why your witches won't show their faces, but I'm sure that will be revealed. Hope you have better luck with this one!

My first Reproductive Day was Week 4 Day 7. Knowing how I like to play, I realized early on that I wasn't going to worry about finishing fast. Looking forward to seeing the little witches. Cover your behinds, Bridgeport! There will be Fire Blasts.

Mrs Jones listened exclusively to children's music and watched the children's channel on tv at their new house over the bridge at 64 Applewood Lane. For the couple which had been living in a small penthouse, a house with 4 bedrooms and almost as many bathrooms seemed big ... really big to them. The Real Estate Agent at First Sim National Real Estate sold the house to them with the line "While your parents in law living over the garage may not be the best location for them, it sure beats them staying in the bedroom next to yours." Mr and Mrs Jones enjoyed the freedom of being able to move walls around, knock out bathrooms, and convert the bedrooms over the storage area to an industrial technology center for their future drones to learn inventing and science and logic and sculpting and alchemy.

Eventually Mrs Jones gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Madame, oh right, not one at all to two beautiful daughters named Madame and Frau, sorry, my mistake again, to three beautiful daughters named Madame and Frau and Mevrou. No watermelons were consumed following the time that Mr and Mrs tried for baby, so it was purely luck. Of course, as both Mr and Mrs Jones were witches, the three nooboos were witchlings.

Mr Jones headed down to the Science Lab, potent cure elixir in his left back pocket and two witch elixirs in his right back pocket. After turning himself back to a normal sim, he acquired a child aged clone of himself who was named Gospodin. After consuming and throwing the two witch elixirs, Mr and Gospodin Jones became witches and headed home.

That night, Mrs Jones declared, "let us eat cake and celebrate, for tomorrow we diet."

"What colour?" Mr Jones asked.

"Don't be silly dear, green of course, what other colour is there?"

Three cakes were purchased and Madame, Frau and Mevrou aged up to toddlers that night. It was decided all traits would be randomised, however they also wanted the chance of getting better traits, so it was decided that the toddlers would learn their 3 essential skills (walk, talk and potty (wt&p))) as toddlers and while they weren't being taught one of the skills, they would play with either the brainiac peg blocks or the xylophone. Meanwhile, Gospodin was learning logic.

The three girls all learned their toddler skills and spent time playing either the xylophone or the peg blocks and once again all in the household got to eat cake.

When their daughters were ready to go to school, Mr and Mrs Jones decided to return to the workforce, setting up an architectural design studio named M&Ms and set about to set up their 'clients' homes into a proper way for their future drones. Both worked painting this time, knocking over 30 paintings, well sketches rather quickly and each have done 6 brilliant paintings. Mrs Jones also got a request to do up a Masterpiece book for her romantic day 1 friend, which I accepted as books are going to be their RD 2 requirements. At the time of this posting, Mr Jones is about level 6 and Mrs Jones is about level 4. Mrs Jones is a speedy cleaner and Mr Jones has a fast metabolism.

As for the drones ...
Madame is perceptive, neurotic and artistic, is working on logic and at YA, she is becoming a SE Writer.
Frau is athletic, artistic and loves the outdoors, is working on painting and at YA, she is becoming a SE Painter.
Mevrou is insane, eccentric and a light sleeper, is working on inventing and at YA, she is becoming a SE Inventor.
Gospodin took on his father's traits of genius, gatherer and artistic, is working on logic and at YA, he is joining the police force.

Gospodin has an A in elementary school, the other three have B's, that's it for now, sorry for lack of pictures.

By Tuesday week 8 the first batch of witch drones moved out and began to take over the city of Bridgeport.

In  the early afternoon of Sunday, week 8, Mevrou Jones, after what seemed like a thousand times of posing for portraits, finally got her masterpiece portrait and having invented everything she could, including multiple time machines, she maxed inventing, reached level 7 as a self employed inventor, purchased Hogan's Deep Fried Diner and moved to 2097 Edgewood Road. Her final traits were Light Sleeper, Eccentric, Insane, Dramatic and Workaholic.

Later that same evening, Frau Jones moved out. Her masterpiece portrait was completed earlier, however it was her portrait of Mevrou that was the first masterpiece portrait of Mevrou that either herself or her parents painted and got entered into the gallery. In that time, she had managed to reach level 8 of the painting career due to her sale of brilliant and normal portraits and other paintings that she had painted, Frau purchased and upgraded Smuggler's Cove and moved down the road from her sister into 2207 Edgewood Road. She left with the traits of Loves the Outdoors, Athletic, Artistic, Neat and Charismatic.

On early Tuesday morning of week 8, Madame Jones moved out. Her masterpiece portrait was also completed earlier, however her logic skill took an incredibly long time to get maxed and she moved out just as soon as level 10 logic was reached. She had also written three books which took her to level 3 as a self Employed Writer. She purchased Wilki Books and Bath and moved into 2256 Edgewood Road with the final traits of Neurotic, Perceptive, Artistic, Hates the Outdoors and Great Kisser.

On the same day after work, Gospodin Jones moved out. His masterpiece portrait was the first one finished, as was his logic skill, he actually tutored his sisters in primary and secondary school so they could get A's quickly. Gospodin joined and got promoted to level 2 of the Music Career, he also purchased the Movie Cineplex. His final traits were Gatherer, Genius, Artistic, Ambitious and Frugal which he took with him to his new house at 2035 Edgewood Road.

Mr and Mrs Jones were home alone once again, and nearing the end of their careers in the Architectural Design profession. Mr Jones was level  9 and Mrs Jones was level 8. Both had become brushmasters and proficient painters, Mrs Jones became a speedy cleaner, while Mr Jones developed a fast metabolism. Our King and Queen did a collection of five books, one masterpiece written by Mrs Jones and four comic books written by Mr Jones. Two potent friendship elixirs were purchased for the next two bet friends of existing cityfolk.

And so, by the end of week eight Mr and Mrs Jones will hopefully have their 2nd reproduction day.
