Plumbot Wishes, LTWs, and Opportunities... Bugged?

I've yet to have either of these things come up for a Sentient Plumbot. I'd love to hear of anyone getting some Opportunity to start this process or a LTW selection coming up. It's sad that they can't even get Wishes and must acquire LTHP through mood only.

I tried by leveling some skills and getting them 'interest' in those things, but nothing ever came up. Do let us know.

After tuning up my plumbot to future tech, installed sentience and made friendship with him, my plumbot rolled a LTW wish to become super popular.
Perhaps other LTWs will pop up if I install chips like evil or romantic ones and trigger different situations, but I guess like child/teen, they should be able to roll these LTW wishes for you to decide whether to grant it or not?
I still don't know about opportunities though, I've had him with sentience for only a few hours.

I've gotten all of these with my sentient bot. His chips have been Sentience, Unlimited Learning, Efficiency and others that varied. He got a ton of skill wishes as I was leveling him through the Bot Making skill. When I gave him the Office Drone chip, he rolled the CEO of a Mega-Corporation LTW. He's also had at least one opportunity for Handiness.

Maybe your problem is related to chip selection? It does sound like a bug though, since I've even had some non-sentient bots get wishes to scan people/bots and things like that.

I had one bot that was bugged and wasn't getting any wishes or opportunities at all when I installed the sentient chip. I made a second one as my garden was big enough to need two gardeners and my sim had a day job. This second bot was rolling wishes, life time wishes potentials, and opportunities pretty regularly. After a couple of sim days, the first bot finally started rolling a couple wishes too, but not lifetime wish or opportunities yet. So somehow that first bot was just bugged and may still be in some way.

Maybe try modifying trait chips and take out sentience. Then put it back in on a separate action? I had an odd bug where Unlimited Learning was duplicated in my bot's head. I took one out, to find he could no longer learn. One was just a ghost. I took out the other, then closed the interface, and put it back in with another action - which fixed the issue. It's clearly a different bug, but maybe the same method will help?

My plumbot without the sentient chip get wishes, but not LTWs and opportunities. I will try it to see if it gets any LTW or opportunities when I get a sentient chip for her.

Thanks for the suggestions. When I'm done with Advanced Tech I'll go back and have a look at my Sentient Plumbot and pull some trait chips/reinstall them.

I had full advanced tech and my sentient plumbot never got a LTW or an opportunity.  But with that I got sick of him being sentient after about 10 sim days and took the chip out.

I agree that I will probably remove it from an ultimate Plumbot. Developing and installing Sentience is a feat and all, but why not have something different than a regular Sim that serves a household without the drawbacks of regular Sims. It makes them too human and can bring them into the family in a meaningful way but as far as function, it's one trait chip I can live without using.

Is there any way to fix this situation:


I had a lifetime wish on the plumbot to become top of a job.

But then i took away the chip that adds LTWs for plumbots and when i put it back now,
1. the wish is gone
2. I NEVER get the bot to wish another lifetime wish...

What is this!

I already tried to buy the lifetime reward "change lifetime wish" and it didnt work.
I press the Accept button but it doesnt appear and it doesnt pay the lifetime money for it...

If your plumbot racks up 10,000 lifetime happiness points then they can buy the "Change Lifetime Wish" reward and you can select any wish you want for them.
