Saving to Library
« on: January 09, 2014, 10:01:30 PM »
Is it possible to save just one sim from a family to your library and not the whole family? I ended up moving her out and changing households to accomplish this, but was wondering if there is some other way for future reference.

While in the game, you can send your Sim to the mirror or dresser to change hair/clothes.  While in Create-A-Sim, click on the button on the bottom with three dots.  It will give you the option to save to library or to share on the official Forum.  This puts just that Sim in your library for use at another time.

Hi Kellie,

I believe there is. While in-game go into Edit Town, and click the house you want to save your Sim person from. In the little popup window to the left, if I'm correct is the Split household button. Choose that and split the household. It will then save the Sim person to the clip board. From there Save the Sim person to your library.

Hope this helps, :)

I use the way Pam describes all the time. It's super easy.

Another fun thing is when you turn on testing cheats and shift-click any Sim and choose Edit in Create-A-Sim.  You can edit townies that way.  I have some family across the street and I've been fixing the girls' hair and clothes as they age up.
