Game Not Saving

For some reason whenever I try to save my game I keep getting error code 12 and found out that in the Saves folder the game has been saving the games as a .bad file so I deleted them and tried to save the game again but it didn't work. Please help me, I don't want to end up losing all my progress.

Have you tried using the option "Save as..." with a new name, instead of "Save"? I haven't had error 12 for a long time, so I don't know if it will help. If you get error 16 it will work if you use "Save as...", and call it something else.

I just went through this. After deleting the .bad file, you need to make the backup file the main file. To do this, make a copy of the backup file first, then remove the word"backup from the file. Start the game and you should be able to save properly.

I think I deleted the backup file , oh wait I just remembered that I can still recover it with a program I have. I am so glad I got that program.

I got the problem too
