Yes, once an account is deleted it is irrecoverable. And Luna, if you're gone for a few months, you won't need to worry about your account; you have 257 posts. That hardly qualifies you as a low-posting inactive user. :)

Thank you so much, Seabody. It's a relief to know about that :)

I was wondering about Chuckles_82. Do anyone know about what happened to her?

Chuckles_82 never gave a reason as far as I know, she just left overnight as it were. As for Louise, again we're not sure really, she didn't give a reason this time for deleting her account. Seabody was correct about SimBlip.

The only accounts that would ever get purged are the ones with no posts.  Never one where the member has made posts on the Forum.  Anyone is always welcome to return after taking a break for whatever reason.  Any time you see "Guest" next to a member's name, it's almost always because that member deleted the account, except in the rare situations like SimBlip.  And we almost never know the reason for it and that makes me sad because I always wonder if it's something I could have helped with.

Seeing Guest beside any name is sad. I'm not as active as I used to be, so I'm glad to read my account isn't in any danger of being purged! As far as the not obeying the rules rule, I never even think about joining a tournament unless I know I can do it. I first read the rules, than ask myself if I could follow them. If the answer is yes, I join if it's no, I sit it out. This place is like a second home for me, and I can't even imagine my life without my forum friends.

I noticed that Rica hasn't been around in a few months - has she left? I hope everything is alright.

I don't know how permanent Rica's hiatus is or the reasons behind it, and I don't think anyone else does either. I wonder if she's okay too and even worry about her sometimes, but obviously, I respect her decision to take a break from the forum and simming, and whatever reasons she has for it.
