Random $50,000 added to funds after Time Travel?

I just travelled into the future, and as soon as I arrived, I was given about $54,000. Normally these sims are broke. I have not won Lotto. They could use the money though. Anyone know where this might've come from?

I honestly, have no idea where it would have come from. I've had similar things happen for varying amounts of simoleons while my Sim was in the future as well as after returning from the future. I thought it was a mod conflict or something until I decided to try a Dynasty last weekend with no mods in and had the same thing happen. A random glitch in the game code?

My sims LOST money randomly

I don't have this particular EP but I do occasionally get random amounts of simoleons added to the family funds, usually ~10k-20k.

If it is irritating or concerning to you, you can always use the magic cheat... testingcheatsenabled true. After use, you can use setfamilyfunds householdname amountofmoney. (If the code is wrong, type in help, a little code I used when typing random things after my game would not quit in The Sims 2)
Example:

Setfamilyfunds Nutellasauce 500.
