Tube Elevator

I am trying to put a tube elevator in my home, and it won't let me put it in the basement.  I do not have a foundation, and I am able to put it on the main floor, and the second floor, but not in the basement.  When I try to place it in the basement, it says "Ceiling too low"  Does anyone know what I can do to fix this, or if it can be fixed?

Then level terrain of your basement and first floors

This will smooth out any hidden bumps or dips that might be preventing placement.

Don't forget to
<Ctrl-shift-c> ConstrainFloorElevation true
To cancel that cheat

Just tried it, and it didnt work.   I've tried placing it from the top down, bottom up, everything I could think of, and it just wont let me.....

Will allow you to place the elevator. Your sim should be able to use it, but sometimes objects placed using this cheat don't work
