How long did you have to wait for Oh My Ghost opp?

I'm impatient and nervous that my beloved husband is gone forever. How long did you have to wait for the opportunity to resurrect them? I refuse to cheat. And I kind of want to try for a ghost baby.

I just love screenshots. Connor's son got to hug him! D'awwww! The little tyke is going to boarding school tomorrow so at least he gets to say bye to his dad! Hopefully by the time he gets back, he will have a ghost-sibling and a ghost-dad who are always around!

The opportunity is actually quite random and there's no guarantee that you'll get it at all.  But it will often come a few days after the death of your Sim.

Lincoln Porter from Isla Paradis got the opp two days in gameplay, and now they have three new children, no ghosts, but two are rainboos and one has Marianne's bright blue hair. Might post the pictures in the Children born to original townies, once I figure out how the forum's gallery works.

Ok so a new question, but I didn't want to start a new thread.

He's bound to the house now, and listed in the relationship panel as my sim's fiance. However, no interaction to marry ever comes up. No matter how chummy they get. :/ They both have the 'get married' want, too.

Is there any way to fix this that you know of? Must I go to the trouble of breaking them up, only to try to get them chummy again and see if it works? Honestly, I might try testingcheatsenabled to do that if that's the case.

Let me know if you guys know anything. Why isn't the option to get married to my ghost-fiance appearing?

Edit: I did that, with breaking them up and becoming 100 in relationship again. I cheated. I'm so ashamed about it, especially since it didn't work. Now they're exes and they don't want to be in a relationship.

Even though you've already dealt with your situation, I'll go ahead and give you an answer.  Yes, you have to break them up and start the romance from the beginning.  When one of the Sims in a marriage dies, it always puts them as fiances and they are just stuck that way until you have them break up.  It doesn't always make a lot of sense, but that's how the game operates in this situation.

You could get one of them the Master of Seduction LTR so the other party has no choice but to accept their romantic advances.
