Thank you, Hazel and Butterfly. :)

Interlude 3: It Takes Two To Tango

So now the Frio dynasty moves to their fourth home:  14 Sierra Tango Street, Sunset Valley. The Leader of the Free world travels in style in a huge limo, which created a bit of a traffic jam in the corner of Maywood Lane and Sierra Tango Street.

The household consists of Melonie Blair and her mother Kelli (who does not get any face time in this chapter), Richard Frio and sisters Justina Frio and Gail Sheets.

The posse had hardly settled into the house after the wedding, when Justina started cheering.

Her wedding day happened to be her birthday, too. Bart Frio - Richard's second cousin - was present to cheer on the birthday girl...

... but in fact he was here for this: Gail wanted to pop the question.

Bart of course accepted and the couple celebrated their union in the bedroom as is often the custom in the Sims (or at least in my games). We let them have their privacy and move on to check on the new wardrobes of our main couple:

Richard only got new sets of everyday and formal wear. His position requires him to be properly dressed at all times.

Also Justina's wardrobe reflects her new status in the society - and her age. She got three sets of formal wear, but I seem to have taken a pic of only one of them. As you can see, her favourite colour is lime and other favourites roots music and dim sum.

This is what Justina thinks of her new look. She is neurotic, clumsy, perceptive, light sleeper and artistic.

Her LTW is to be Pervasie Private Eye and she registers as a private eye first thing next morning. Sadly it is most likely that she will not reach her goal considering her age and the difficulty of the LTW.

In the evening, Gail and Bart have a private wedding under the starry skies.

Bart took his wife's surname and is now Bart Sheets. He also moved into the household temporarily.

The wedding was a "shotgun wedding".

We fast forward a few days: the first born of Gail and Bart is already a toddler. Wonder what will become of little Roger when his first word is so grim.

With Roger a toddler and a second child on the way (this was why I let them stay in the household for so long), it was finally time for the Sheets to move out.

The game threw them into the lofty Ye Olde Tudor at 325 Oak Grove Road.

Now finally Justina and Richard have the house almost to themselves (Kelli and Melonie Blair still live with them).

The house seemed almost too empty, so they immediately got down to business to fill it up again.

And they were successful: generation four of the Frio DecaDynasty is on the way.

Richard could not be more excited when he hears the news.

This is not Richard Justina is talking to - although even I mistakenly thought so when I saw the picture - but a client whose case she just solved. She worked right down the final stages of her pregnancy.

A classic shot of a sim giving birth and the father panicking in the background.

Ladies and gentlemen: meet the next heir of this decadynasty Herakles Frio and his twin brother Herod. The heir's pretty unique name was the name of the day at Behind the name. The heir was born just within the 10 day limit after moving into the new house.

Nothing, not even a stone wall, can stop the gnomes from taking over this Frio house, too.

7.1: The New Life

The Leader and his First Lady in their formals. It's time for another big party.

When the guests start arriving, I noticed that Roger Sheets is already a child.

Angelita Gaddis makes an inappropriate suggestion to Richard. Luckily Richard is a decent guy and rejects the kiss, since Justina enters the room at the moment. I would not want them to have a marriage crisis already.

It's a formal party and Justina immediately notices a defect in the table setting. Melonie agrees.

Nevertheless, the party was a success.

In spite of having two maids, the Leader of The Free World has to take part in the cleaning after the party. If I were him, I'd fire the lazy maid immediately.

Justina is not afraid of getting her hands dirty to solve a case. Notice that she has inconspiciously arrived to the lot in her lime green sports car.

The next party is to celebrate the twins' birthday.

After the sparkles...

the boys get their makeovers. Herakles loves pink and gets a baby mohawk in his favourite colour. Herod is a more down to earth guy and prefers spice brown.

What do the twins' first words of them? The woman teaching Herakles is Kelli Blair.

Richard has been eternally faithful to Justina.

He turns elder without a fuss in a corner of his home with only Kelli Blair cheering for him. Apparently I forgot to throw a party this time.

A distinguished elder wardrobe for a distinguished old gentleman.

Daddy loves his little boys.

I don't remember if Richard retired from politics, but he spends all his free time with his sons.

Their mother on the other hands is running around town solving cases (and making a fool of herself).

After Bart moved out of the original Frio home, the house did not stay empty for long. Tyson Gillis moved in. Being a newcomer in Sunset Valley, he needed Justina's expert help with his lovelife.

Speaking of Bart Frio, now Sheets, I caught him having a picnic with his wife Gail and their second son Brooks...

...while Justina was questioning their eldest, Roger. The Sheets boys grow up super fast!

Toddler spam.

Little bookworms.

Kelli Blair meets the Reaper right after her shift ends at the Bistro.

It seems that even the Grimmie longs for a companion by his side. Does anybody know what book he is reading there?

Justina should pay closer attention to out little darlings while parking her car.

It looks as though Grim's reading one of the French books.  Most of them seem to have that cover.

Is that a meteorite in the previous post?

Thanks for the info on the book, Hazel. I rarely buy books abroad.

No, it's not a meteorite. When they solve a case, private eyes burn their notes (or something) and throw the burning paper over their shoulder.

Oh, that explains it.  I've noticed it in one of my games, also with a private eye.  It was just after a near-miss by a meteor, so it was on my mind at the time :).

Generation 4.2: Heir's responsibilities

Herod and Herakles Frio dressed in their best for their birthday.

The heir always goes first in my families.

Oh, a chubby little pink-haired cutie.

Melonie Blair's boyfriend, Shad Gaddis, is still a teen.

Melonie takes this very hard and Shad does his best to comfort her. Or maybe she is so emotional after her mother passed away as seen in the previous chapter.

By the way, Shad is the youngest of Poseidon Brandt and Angelita Gaddis four children, and thus second cousin of Herakles and Herod. You might have noticed from the previous picture that he looks a lot like his great-great-grandfather Connor Frio.

After this emotional interlude it's time to cake up little Herod.

He looks pretty average, so I am glad that Herakles is the heir.

If I were you, Herakles, I would skip the second serving of cake. (Though I secretly love the pudgy little heir, but don't tell him.)

Herakles got his pink mohawk back with his childhood makeover and glasses to finish off his nerdy look. I don't think you'll ever see his athletic wear after this photo. I like him chubby.

Herod is an average little sim boy.

No time to waste if you are the heir. So, Herakles starts immediately to work on his requirements. His father tutors him already during the party.

His unique skill will be logic so he gets a telescope to find some celestial bodies.

It's also necessary to start checking on potential spouses as soon as possible. She is Kenyatta Liles. She lives on 24 Sim Lane - not a very lucrative property for a dynasty family.

Shonna Bronson, however, lives in a much more desirable home at 65 Maywood Lane.  Yes, you have to be a little materialistic if you are the heir of a townie decadynasty family.

Melonie turns adult...

... and soon after this, I notice that Chad is finally young adult.

They waste no time: first kiss...

... engagement and...

... first woohoo take place in one go. Did I hear chimes? You'll have to stay tuned until the next chapter to find out.

We end this chapter with Justina turning elder while harvesting her money trees.

Justina's elder wardrobe.

Gabriel the Gnome - rudely IMO - points at what will be her next stop. Huh.
