Error crash number 12
« on: October 22, 2013, 06:59:51 PM »
I have this saved game that I'm playing, and this game had reach week 2 Saturday (almost week 3) the gameplay and graphic is no problem no deformed sims or animals, but whenever I wanna save it always said error 12 (or something along that line) consult read me for details. This always happens for times already. This cause my game pace so much slower than expected.

Any suggestion on how I might correct this?

thx  :)

I use to have this problem all the time until I tried the solution found here. It's for Windows 32 bit systems. Sense making the changes listed there I haven't had an Error Code 12 crash sense March 2012. So I know it works.

If that's not for you there are several other post about this problem with ways to help with the problem. Just use the sites search and search for Error Code 12. You may find something there that will help.

I had this recently. A quick fix in game is to move the family to a new town. Don't save (you can't anyway) until the game prompts you to save under a new name in the new town.

Problem solved.

Unfortunately I don't want to play in new town.
Because the plot is in this town I'm playing and I would lose the relationships I've build with the townsfolk.

Have you tried using "Save As" and giving it a new name each time?  For example, I keep about four copies of all of my games and I'll name them "Lollipop Future 1.0", "Lollipop Future 1.1", etc.  This keeps me from having errors and also gives me back ups in case one of them crashes or gets corrupted.

Also, I'm moving this to the Technical Help board.
