Reinstalling

Alright, I'll start by saying I'm not amazing with computers. I bought Sims 3 from the Origin's store a while ago because my CD didn't have a code anymore. I mod quite a bit but yesterday I updated to the latest patch which made my game run terribly with my CC. I don't see a point in playing without it so I read that the only way to unpatch is to uninstall the game so I did and now I can't figure out how to reinstall just the base game again, it doesn't seem to give me that option on my account. Also how do you go about reinstalling the game without the latest patch? Is there a certain way I have to do it? Thanks in advance Sorry if this sounds terribly dumb!

Welcome to the forum Fan0Fox. Did you have any other expansions or stuff packs? Your mod needs to be updated as well or your game will not work correctly. Also need to uninstall your game as it is stated here . This link will include base game and expansion pack information.

Thank You I have the Pets expansion pack as well. And about the link, I already uninstalled it by clicking the uninstall icon that was in my sims 3 folder.

Sometimes the game won't uninstall properly and have to delete some hidden registry codes that the game makes on your computer. It is explained in the link when you uninstall. It shows it both for Windows and Mac. Also you need to delete all expansions before deleting the base game.
