I love this story so far! Can't wait to see more. Zelda and Kaylynn are a great way to start a dynasty!

Isn't making over Zelda just the best? She's so beautiful under all of that . . . etc.
I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

Thank you both! Zelda certainly is very beautiful once she's in the right clothes.

Apologies for the delay, everyone. I've been really ill recently and unable to get onto my computer to play and update you all. Hopefully another chapter will make up for it :)

Chapter Two

Over the next few weeks we all worked hard. Zelda and I spent the first few days at the library, and then Zelda began a little garden and I started work at the restaurant.

Kaylynn turned out to be quite a rebellious child, perhaps because the poor dear is missing a trait, and refused to go to school, preferring to stay at home and paint.

I confess, I didn’t scold her as much as I should have. I need somebody to paint my portraits after all.

I have another confession as well.

I swear, I couldn't I help myself! Money was slow in the beginning and I just couldn't take it anymore! I got backache from sleeping on the ground and going to the gym every day was such a nuisance. I couldn’t bring myself to tell Zelda, so I just sold the cars and told her I got a bonus at work. With this money we were able to build a very small, simple house. I didn't buy anything we didn't need, and having a bed is so much nicer than that ratty old sleeping bag.

Soon after that it was time for Kaitlyn to grow up.

She's not pretty exactly, but she makes for a very striking teen.

Watching her grow up should have been a happy event, something to celebrate, but I seemed to feel nothing but sadness. I didn't know what it was, but watching her become a teen made me ache for… something. I liked having a child in the house, it felt wrong not to and I was distressed to the point that I could barely sleep.

Zelda found me alone in the kitchen one night, cooking for all I was worth.

“What’s wrong?” she asked immediately.

“Is it that obvious?” I said.

“To me it is. I’m your best friend, it’s my job to know when you’re unhappy.”

I sighed. “I don’t know. Ever since Kaylynn became a teen, I’ve just felt… empty. Like I’m missing something.”

“You’ve felt lonely, you mean,” Zelda said with a knowing smile.

This surprised me, but I realised it was true. Kaylynn spent even more time painting now she was no longer a child and never wanted to play anymore, and Zelda was always busy in her garden. Except for my coworkers and boss, I hardly saw anyone and it was very lonely. It was clear to me that the time had come to take the next step in my dynasty.

The next day I threw a party. It wasn’t a husband-hunting party, just a party where I checked out all the eligible bachelors to see which one I wanted to marry… Okay, it was totally a husband-hunting party. Men from all over Sunset Valley showed up, each with their own pros and cons, but by the evening I’d managed to narrow it down to two men, Parker Langerak and Hank Goddard.

Both have potential, I suppose we'll just have to see who steals my heart.

I am Team Parker, it would be nice for Goldilocks to be related to Zelda and Kaylynn.

Get better soon!

I agree with NJ. You should take her advice. Being healthy is priceless, Meg :)
When you're healthy you can always update story that you want. Hope that you'll get better soon!

I'm with Parker, I dislike Sims ended with someone who already had a partner :P

I hope that you'll get better soon. Being sick is unpleasant and right what Luna and Nettlejuice said, being healthy is priceless...
Please consider your health first okay? Your story can wait later when you feel better.

I love Kalylynn makeover! She looks rebellious!
Oh, and one thing! I hope that she consider Parker as spouse :3
