Empty Dorms - Weird Uni Glitch?

I'm playing a 4x4 Dynasty, and my first heir just went to college. But 98% of the time, her dorm is empty. I know people live there because I saw them on move in day, but they are never at the dorm. In previous games, there was usually at least 1 or 2 there at any given time during the day. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a rather large game file because my founders couldn't keep it in their pants, so perhaps this is why?
