Can't accomplish Possession is 9/10 LTW

So, my Sim married a kleptomaniac.  (Darn that observant trait for only giving me three traits out of five!)  And her LTW was the Possession is 9/10 of the Law. 

So far, she has stolen 7 cars (including a Margaret Vaguester and a Bwan Speedster), the statue from the park, a couple of laptops and other various and sundry items.  However, the game only registers as stealing about 8k worth of merchandise!  At one point, she was close to 23k.  I guess the items drop in value over time.  But it seems like I'll never get this wish done - I can't find any more expensive cars to steal and the other stuff is worth only a couple hundred dollars at a time.  Coupled with the fact that you can only steal 3 items a night... :'(

Since they 'fixed' this LTW, it seems impossible. Items are never worth their full value when you steal them, which is how it is supposed to be, but I've found that the value of what they steal keeps resetting to zero every few days (well for my klepto it did) and together with the limit of how much you can actually steal each day, the LTW is just not attainable.

My current spouse had that lifetime wish as soon as i could i changed it to something more attainable.

Well, she's just a "babymaker" anyway (a Sim who is there just to give birth to the next generation), so I'm not really concerned if she doesn't make her LTW.  I just have this need in me to make sure all my little Sims are happy.

It takes a while now that's for sure.  It's good to befriend rich sims, visit and preferably stay the night, grab 3 items form inside the home, and go.

Some other ideas:

The Sculpture in front of the Wolff's house.
Bar, barstools, and loungers at the alto's pool.  -  Outdoor furniture actually does ok, and 3 loungers can net 1500 in a pretty simple 'sting'. IF you get the bar and 2 other items its a decent run.  

The laandgrabs conveniently have sculptures in the bathroom
their tv room is a good target as well.

But yes, it does take a long time now and an evening out nets only  a few thousand.  

When I competed it after the fix, I had my klepto sim join the business career, befriended everyone, quit and joined the political and befriended everyone.  That got me to good-best friends with almost all the rich sims and sped things up.  Got the LTW and became President. Not bad for a thief. :D
