Graveyards - Managing the dead
« on: September 11, 2013, 04:53:44 AM »
I am trying to put the tombstones of deceased relatives from various families in my neighbourhood into my newly built town cemetary. When I did it myself by dragging from the sim's inventory, it moved them back to the home inventory when I went to edit town. I then used "manage the dead" to put them in the graveyard building. But that doesn't seem to make them appear in the actual lot. I want to be able to arrange them and put flowers in front of them, etc. Is that possible?

I'm not 100% sure but I think that you need to own the lot to place a grave there.

Owning the graveyard will make it possible for you to do landscaping and stuff. But the same effect should be available with testingcheatsenabled on and the build on this lot command.

I have had no problem placing gravestones from the mausoleum without owning the graveyard in the past.

I'll see if I can move the tombstones from the mausoleum inventory onto the lot so hopefully that will work. I can easily edit the lot from edit town, I'm just struggling to get the tombstones to stay from a family until I can edit and place them nicely from edit town.
