I wasn't sure if I should post here or in technical, but since my question is about CaW and not the game, I thought I'll start here and if the topic gets moved, then I'll know for future reference.
So I've been trying for over 2 years to get CaW to work. Every time I load it, I get an error for one thing or another that I'm not able to resolve for awhile. The last error was that it needed a certain update, which at the time, the update was broken and I had to wait for EA to release the fixed update (which was the most recent update). Finally after the update and installation of a new vid card and some ram, I figured I'd finally be ready to explore CaW.
Nope...not this time. Again. Now the program just hangs, it won't load, and I'm not getting any error messages. So I'm wondering, what could I possibly have done wrong? It's the latest version, my system is compatible, my game is updated. Also I'm not getting very far asking for solutions in the Sims 3 forums on the main site, so I hoped someone here had experienced this and had ideas to fix it? I'm just dying to make or get a world that has enough room for all the new venues I've recently bought, plus all the rabbit holes and neat things from all the expansions up to Island Paradise (like the mermaid grottos).
