Random Sim Deaths?
« on: August 14, 2010, 06:27:43 AM »
I've been playing Twinbrook. The Williams- Brown - Jones- Goode family.  I'm in generation four despite storyline progressions tendency to randomly kill sims from this particular family!

So far it killed two of Jennis children - Son as an teen (starvation), Daughter as a toddler(fire). Surviving son recently got married and sure enough his first born baby daughter was killed as well (lightning) His second daughter has survived (so far)

I play Lenny's new family (he remarried) and let storyline progression deal with the Goodes. Is this some sort of glitch or am I just having bad luck with this family?

Most likely not. Many sims die off, so your most likely having a bad luck. Don't worry it happens to everyone  ;D!

Story progression was programmed to keep the game interesting, so there you go! I think it's normal.

Did these Sims die while under your control?  Because it seems that it would be nearly impossible for a Sim to die of starvation if you are controlling him.  I mean, just give him some food.  Fires and electrocution are accidents, so you couldn't control those.  But the starvation has me wondering.

No not while under my control. I read about the deaths in the newspaper and when I checked the family tree sure enough they were gone. Not a great way to find out your sims have passed. Made me feel guilty for not focusing on them more. Storyline progression has made this a very challenging family indeed :P

Ok, I see.  Yes, some families seem to have a more intense story progression than others.  No idea why it happens that way sometimes, but it does.
