Can't click on Active Sim and can't use Computer or Newspaper

This just started today.  No matter who the active Sim is, I cannot click on them while they are active.  (Pets are fine).  I also cannot use the computer or newspaper. It doesn't even give me the option to click on them (the mouse icon doesn't change).  I've tried "resetSim" to no avail.  This is a new a household + town so I don't have a backup file to go back to. 

I'm afraid one of the mods I have recently downloaded may be causing the issue, but I downloaded a lot... I'm assuming this is causing the  issue, but if anyone has an idea of which mods have been known to cause similar problems please let me know to help narrow it down!

Try starting a new game file and see if the same thing keeps happening.  If it does, then it's probably one of your mods.  If it stops with the new game, then it's a problem with just that one file and you should be ok to play other game files.
