Corrupted Game

Hi, Unfortunately, my game became corrupted when playing. I tried to save and then I wasn't sure if it actually saved so I pushed save again, thus wiping out the old save file/backup. Now both save files are corrupted. Is there any magic or whatever that I can do to at least recover the family or do I have to start from scratch again?

Hi Sonshine.

Did you try recovering the game's back up file?  Check here.

If that doesn't help...  how exactly is it corrupted?  Can you open the file at all?  If so, you could go in and save your family and/or their house to the bin and it would be available in a fresh new file.

Hi Pam! Yes, both save files are corrupted. :(  When I tried saving the second time, it wrote over the backup. :(  Something must have happened when the game froze. Now, it gets about 1/3 of the way loaded and stops and won't go any further. I was just wondering if there was a way to recover the file(s).
