How do I move my Sims with degree to Bridgeport?
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:26:56 AM »
I have just created a sim in Apaloosa Plains and have gotten a degree in Fine Arts in the Sims University. I would like to know how to move him to bridgeport without making him lose his degree. I have tried to put him in the premade sims bar at the bottom of the screen by going to edit town mode and saving him to library without the house (just him, his money, and his dog) then starting a new game in bridgeport and loading him there but when i was playing him, he didn't have his degree anymore! I don't want to have to make my sims go back to University to complete his degree a second time. Please help!

I believe you can move him by playing him in AP and just using his phone. Look under real estate settings -> move -> and there should be options of "move within this town", "purchase additional home" and "another town".

I haven't personally tried it myself but I would imagine he should keep his degree.

I think I read on the forum you may need money (£20,000) to move?

With the latest patch that was installed with Island Paradise, you got the option to move your Sims to different towns, purchase additional homes, and build your homes on the water. Basically, you go through the motions of moving your Sim to a new home within the town, but there will be a new option - move to a different town. It will cut all connections with Sims in that town and your Sim may lose their job if the new town doesn't have that job available. And yes, you do need at least 20,000 as a 'down payment' for the move, which will be returned once your Sim gets to their new home.

Hope this helps!
