A couple of issues with the Butler
« on: August 23, 2013, 11:15:16 AM »
I am a male rockstar who has a hot female butler (hint hint), but there's a couple of issues I have.

Cooking - She reads. A lot. Whenever she has free time, she reads. While this is not bad, she fails to cook if she's holding a book. What she does is goes to the kitchen, drops the book on a counter, stands around, then takes up the book again. When she doesn't have a book she cooks fine. I have considered removing the bookcases, but I am pro-literacy.

Paparazzi - Oh, how I hate them. I have a house with no gate and the paparazzi always goes to my backyard where the pool is. I've also caught my neighbors swimming in my pool uninvited. Now, I have put a fence and gate around my house and have locked it to "household only". Is my butler considered part of household? I am afraid that I'm locking her inside the house and she may call the police on me for unlawful inprisonment.

Social - My sim flirts with her a lot! I think it's because she's also a virtuoso. I think eventually, they will do the horizontal mambo. However, when I "check attractiveness", she's only 1/10. Should I be worried?

Cooking- She might not have enough counter space to cook if she's putting the book on the counter. I don't know how big the kitchen is, but that might be part of the problem. If that's not the case, try replacing the fridge.

Paparazzi- I believe that the butler does not count as a part of the household, since you can't directly control you like you can with your own Sims. However, I thought that the butler lived in the house with you. Would she even need to leave the house?

Social- I don't know what you mean by "check attractiveness," (a function of MasterController or something?) so I'm afraid I can't help you there.

Thank you for the response.

Cooking - I am going to test it by moving some of the appliances out.

Paparazzi - I didn't realize the butler never leaves the house. This is a bit of a surprise. I thought she would go out to do shopping or other chores around the neighborhood.

Social - Yes, I have Master Controller installed.

Does your sim have any traits pertaining to romance--Flirty, Hopeless Romantic, Irresistible, etc.? With Flirty especially, they'll be romantic with anything with a pulse.

Oh yes, my traits are Virtuoso, Charismatic, Flirty, Genius, and Artistic. That makes more sense now. My sim do tend to flirt with anything with a heartbeat.

In my experience the pulse is optional - ghosts, mummies, simbots, etc.
