Sims 3 OFFLINE window 8

I own the disc and have been forced to log in with origin.  I also own the supernatural disc.

I have a HP laptop running windows 8

When sitting in a café using WIFI I can operate SIMS 3 on my laptop.

I can turn the internet off and it still works.

BUT if I turn the machine off, then try and play I cannot as I cannot log into origin.

This is very frustrating as I don't have wifi in my flat - and would like to be able to turn my laptop off.

When I try and play offline having turned my machine off, origin appears and says I am offline.

When trying to use 'autorun' installshield offers to uninstall but that's all.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Welcome to the forum.

I don't go online anymore when I play the game.  I just bypass the launcher, even though I have origin off.  I only log in to Origin when there is an update and then I log out.  You don't have to log in to play the game.  So I put the link in to bypass the launcher, but you find whatever the last EP you have installed.  So if you have Island Paradise, you double click on TSP3EP10 and your game will start.  If you do use the launcher and when the game comes on and it says to log in, I just click the X to cancel. Hope this helps.

The path for this is:
Computer:>C Drive:>Program files (x86):>Electronic arts:>The Sims 3:>The Sims 3 Your last installed game:>Game:>Bin:>TS3EPx (x is the number of the EP so Island Paradise is 10).

You right click on your desktop then select "New" followed by "Shortcut".  You will be prompted to type in the path, or (recommended) browse for the path.  A new icon will appear on your desktop which you use instead of the official icon.

I use this all the time to play The Sims.  When you load the game, you will be prompted to connect, just say no.
