Blogging?

It's a kind of dumb topic, but I was just wondering what the point is of blogging in the game?
I've never had my sims do it but lately I've been seeing many screenshots of other's sims writing blogs. Does it give you a moodlet or can you make money off of it?

Blogging is completely unrelated to the game itself.  There are no moodlets or rewards in the game for doing it.  Players write blogs just for the fun of it and to share their stories.  The Sims community seems to enjoy reading about others' adventures and like sharing stories and pictures.  You can set up a blog on the official Sims 3 site, or you can use a free blogging tool, such as WordPress or Blogger.  I have a blog and I admit that it takes a lot of effort to maintain it, which makes it not up to date most of the time.

If you have questions about things, don't worry about posting them.  It's not a dumb topic.

Oh, I wasn't talking in real life, I mean when you get your sims to blog on the computer, or are you talking about that. I think I just confused myself haha.

Oh!  Hehe.  I haven't seen Sims blogging yet.  Maybe it's something new.  But then again, I haven't had a lot of Sims who are writers.  I've seen Professional Blogger as one of the levels of the Journalism career, but nothing else.  Sorry for the confusion.

Sims can blog? Mine can't, maybe their computer is too cheap or their writing skill too low?
