My Sim has Dissapeared and my Panel is blank Help!!

I have the Sims 3 Pc and i sent one of my sims abroad (world adventures expan pack)
And when they got there, i couldnt see them, on the side i couldnt see their icon, it showed my money as 0, i couldnt open the wants panel
I could see other sims moving around but i couldnt click on them or interact
I have no idea what has happened
I have tried reseting my sim but that didnt work
Has anyone else had the same problem and how do i fix this?

This is a well known bug that's been there ever since World Adventure was released.
