It's okay, I'm always hesitant to distribute weight oddly between couple. The one I just made is the wife has a fuller figure, and her husband's slightly skinnier. I made it that way because she will be a stay at home writer.

As for the hair, she didnt have grandparents. Both her parents were made in CAS and moved in as room mates in a tiny cabin I made. Weird little blonde children...I turned it black in a mirror, since it creeped me out. Still, I wonder if the game was resistant to use her mother's hair for anything...I was a bit sad neither child got her eyes either, they were a pretty gold.

That explains why I caught Sally eating fruit from her inventory even though she'd just eaten. Thanks everyone for talking about it. Since she's the gardener, I now know to take extra precautions.

I love cooking for others, but I'm too picky to eat a lot of what I cook! My mom usually doesn't mind being my taste tester though. Unfortunately, most of what I cook is the kind of thing you should only have once in a while, and we both want to lose weight. I even made my Sims 3 site avatar overweight. Don't believe me, then look up NeoFelis in the Exchange.  :D

More on topic, when I first started making Sims, I didn't even notice how unnaturally (for the majority of people) how skinny they were. So I instituted a policy with myself to make them at least normal weight unless there was a pressing reason not to. I also stopped setting the muscles to 'ripped' unless they had the Athletic trait or weighed more. Muscles weigh more than fat, after all.  These two little things helped me with variety in the Sims I made. I've only made one overweight Sim. The idea was that if someone liked him, they could exercise him until he looked different. I don't know if anyone downloaded him, though. Anyway, I didn't want to perpetuate our cultures' (our meaning U.S. since I know we have members from elsewhere) strange ideas about food and weight, even if I was the only one to think about it. Now I suppose I should deal with the beauty issue. After I finish the Wishmaster challenge, perhaps.  ;D

My chubby hubby sim slimmed down to hunky hawtee in only two workout sessions. He gained it all back while I was busy birthin' babies, so it's back on that treadmill, mister!

I really wish you could give a sim a single command to "Swim Laps" instead of having to manually "swim here", "swim here", etc. (Suddenly I feel deja vu. I hope I haven't made that comment already.)

Huh, I've never observed weight change while playing a household, period.  I've only observed it in NPCs.

As far as my knowledge went, weight gain was triggered solely by PO intake while the "stuffed" moodlet is active, and weight loss by cardio.  I rarely do either or if I do have a sim on cardio, his weight was probably already unnoticeable.

Oh, sweet irony, deliver me from coincidence.

Please feel free to utilize any of my builds in any of your stories and so forth.

It definitely happens in households we control.  I've had many that gained weight over time without my commands.

I know what you mean...I've never used swimming as a form of exercise, too much of a hassle. Nor have I ever used it much...period, even in sims 2.
Speaking of that...are there seriously no hot tubs in sims 3? I miss woohoo'ing in the hot tub from sims 2 hehe

Hot tubs are coming with the Sims 3 Expansion Pack Late Night.  But I'm a little confused now.  Do you not play Sims 3?

Lol, I do...I was just making sure I hadn't missed them because I've searched multiple times and was disappointed in no hot tubs hehe. Sorry I probably worded that weird, I'm kind of brain dead today...too much studying :)

Heya Apple, speaking of swimming as "exercise" ...

Nor have I ever used it much...period, even in sims 2.

Well silly you! In the Sims2, that was how I increased my little one's athletics. They'd come home from school with "Fun" down low, and toss them in the pool.

In the Sims3, I have my "Children" swim as much as possible. When they transition to "Teens" they've usually got a head-start on the athletics skill.

Apple, until (and if) Late Night installs Hot-Tubs, newp. No Hot Tubs in the Sims3 as of the Ambitions Xpansion pack.
