Eyeless Horses?

Are horses meant not to have any eyes at all? Mine don't. They have empty sockets. I've not seen this with the smaller pets and was a bit alarmed to find this when I tried to snap a shot of my filly!

This to me sounds like a graphics card issue as I've seen horses in pictures with eyes.

I've seen both now, including pictures of eyeless horses that are of high enough quality to convince me that the horses just don't have eyes. My guess is that the pictures where they do have them, there's a mod in use to make them appear, because those eyes are HOT. It's just making for terrible pictures :-/ Oh, well. I'm hoping to upgrade my RAM soon and if I can get an external graphics card, I might try that too. My graphics card itself is pretty good though, or was at the time that I bought the computer, but since I'm on a mini, I don't know whether or not I can fit something different inside it lol

I don't usually have horses in my game, but the few times when I've had them, I'm sure they had eyes.  And I have no mods in my game.  As Ricalynn said, I would wonder if this issue is related to your graphics card or possibly the settings you have your game on.

I'll have to try to take a screen shot later on. It might be that I'm low on RAM and the graphics card can't run optimally without more of it.

Most pictures I see seem to have plain black eyes, but mine seem to be pits. And I'm not having any other graphics issues. When I load out of the game I'll transfer some pictures to my laptop and upload them.
