Always Alvi: A Random Town Jump - Introductions (7/20)
« on: July 19, 2013, 08:02:12 PM »
A/N - Hi! I'm attempting a Random Town Jump (again), but this one will continue for many generations. It features the Alvi family of Sunset Valley, along with another key Sim and her dog. ;) I don't know how elaborate my writing will be, but I still hope you will read. On with the formalities...

This is a Random Town Jump.
I will play by these rules:

1. My Sims will live for a generation in every town I own. The order will be determined randomly.
2. I will play on a normal lifespan, and I will disable alternate life states.
3. The seasons, season length, and weather will be determined per town.
4. I will not cheat unless it is necessary. I will use mods to replace EA's story progression and to keep my game free of errors.
5. I will not choose an heir until all children have reached YA.
6. My Sims will age naturally.
7. I will randomize all traits, and I will choose LTWs from the ones offered.
8. The heir will find a spouse before moving to a new town.
9. Free will is set on high.
10. My Sims must reside in a house that fits the look of the neighborhood, whether it be EA or player built.

A/N - I'm a few days into the game, and I feel good about it. Everyone is getting along well, but I wanted to ask for a piece of advice from you (the reader). How do you realistically keep up relationships between Sims? I find it very time-consuming in the game, not to mention all the micromanaging involved. Any suggestions are appreciated.  :)

I'd like to have the answer to that also.  I am used to playing with longer life spans and so have longer to spend on the kids aging up.  I end up micromanaging to be able to get photos at the stages and then wondering how I am going to get it into a story and make it interesting enough to read, not become boring (which I think my O'Shea story has become).

You have picked a challenging family, I have always wanted to get a personality elixir to toss on VJ to change him, he seems to have gotten some lousy rolls on the traits.

I will be waiting to see what you do with this family.  Should be a handful to take care of.
