Of course my husband works all the time, they changed the hours he works, now he pretty much works all day every day, and so he's not around to help fix things when they break.  Like the sink.

That's when I found out I was pregnant!  I had to turn around and try fixing the sink again, but I couldn't be happier.  Well.  It would have been nice if Dex had been there, but he's the one working and getting money.  I got a job at the Gypsy Wagon, but now that I'm pregnant I'm on maternity leave.  $80 a day doesn't get you much.

There's no doubt I was going to leave Mom and Marq out of things, I called her right away and talked to Dad and Marq while we were on the phone.  They're all thrilled there's a new little one on the way!

I went into labor in the middle of taking a shower, and I didn't have time to go to the hospital.

All alone, since Dex was at work, I welcomed Silver into the world.  She already looks so much like me!

When Dex finally got off work and got home, he was happy with little Silver.  Maybe not as happy as me, but he was still struggling with the whole "being parents" thing, as he liked to call it.

At least he made up for it as best as he could.

I want our driveway to look amazing, and because of it, I have to wash off lots of disappointing artwork.  Hey, at least it's not permanent!

Though it was certainly the best time to find out I was pregnant again!  I guess...

Silver became a toddler, without Dex around.  I know he's working so much so he can provide for us... but... really?  He couldn't even be there for his own daughter's birthday?  I'll have to talk to Marq about some of the things they're doing at the Base, he works there too.

Silver's a little cutie who loves to learn.  However, I had to interrupt everything by going into labor again!

Little Bronze came into the world with me and his big sister there for him.

Having nooboos doesn't mean Silver got out of the rest of her learning, though.  Maybe it's just me trying to prove I'm a good mom, but I want them to know everything they can.  Is that bad of me?

At this point, I'm not sure if I should be happy or upset.  I know Dex is going to be working more than he probably should, so it's just me raising the kids.  Will I be able to handle three?  What should I do about Dex?  I've talked to Mom and Dad about it, but there's only so much advice I can take.

Would anyone be interested in voting for the Generation 3 heir?  I can't decide what I really want to do, other than try and have a colorful legacy, but with all the kids in Gen 3 being colorful...  Anyway, would anyone be interested in helping, or do you think I should just RNG for it?

------------------------

I have three children.  Let me say this again.  I have three children.  It didn't seem to take very long before Gold joined her big brother and sister in the world.  With three kids to take care of, basically on my own, I think I'm done having kids, even this might be a little more than I can handle.

Silver already knows all of her skills, and she's going through all the books one by one.  She's such a smart little girl, and she always seems to have a plan for things.  That's what she was off doing when I started teaching Bronze all of his skills.  I really am glad Silver can entertain herself for awhile, Bronze and Gold take so much time to care for right now!

This is the only time I have any peace and quiet.  I'm just glad they all sleep through the night, getting a good night's sleep works wonders for a basically single mother of three.

Soon enough it was time for Silver to have her birthday.

She's Disciplined and has a fondness for all things from Shang Simla, so she decided to go with some of their hairstyles.  I think she looks good in a braid, and it helps her to focus.

I went ahead and signed her up for Scouting, it seemed like a good fit for her.

We share my bed sometimes, the kids wake her up if they do in the middle of the night.  You gotta do what you gotta do.

If anyone has any hints or tips about the story, feel free to let me know!  I'm kind of bad at this whole 'story-telling' thing, if you couldn't tell, ha.

-------------

Gold is a toddler now, thankfully.  I love my kids, but I have to admit, they're much more fun when you can actually play with them.

Bronze is sitting reading his books behind us as I was teaching Gold her skills.  Really, she's my last one, especially if Dex isn't going to help me with our kids.

He didn't take long to become a child, he's a quick learner and he wanted to catch up to Silver.  He's a good kid, and I signed him up for Scouting like I did with Silver.

Peace...  Gold is just like her siblings, and it was nice to have her sit and read quietly while the other two were at school.  I'm pretty sure this was the first time I'd had to sit and relax since I had Silver, and she's almost a teenager!

Scratch that, she is a teenager!  She's also enrolled in both the Sports club and Debate club, and has a part-time job at the bookstore.  Heh, time for her to be stressed for a little bit, right?  ...wait.  This means I need to teach her to drive.  Crap.

I'm a silent follower, but I like this legacy! Both of the ladies so far have cool narration styles, and all of your kids look fantastic. :)

Thanks!  I'm trying my best with a random legacy instead of a dynasty or something, I just can't figure out a decent story-line for this.
Also, here's the link for the poll for Gen 3!  If anyone would like to vote, that is.  I can't decide which one to use.

-------------

No more toddlers!  I shouldn't be happy about this.  But I am.  Oh I'm happy.

I'm not sure about Gold's style just yet, she likes black and she's a bit eccentric.  She's already been asking for an inventing table, but there's no room in the house.  Either we have to add a level to the house or figure something else out, but I don't think it'll work either way.

Mom was happy when we were all finally old enough so we could sit together at the table every now and then, and now I can kind of see where she's coming from.  I don't have to worry about bottles or diapers or cribs...

Since I've been going back to work again, I figured I should actually work on my performances a little.  A few people rejected my offer for a reading, but a few people at the SimFest agreed to it.  Not sure if they actually liked what I said, but... um... I still got paid.

Adulthood.  I remember Mom's mid-life crisis, and I didn't want to deal with it as long as she did.  Before I went for therapy though, I knew something I wanted to do no matter what.  It was time to deal with an issue that had been bothering me for quite awhile.

"You're never here for me, and you're never here for the kids!  I can't believe you'd just string us all along like this!  We've known each other since we were kids, I had no reason not to trust you, and you betray me like this?  I talked to Marq, nothing you told me about the Base is true, you just never wanted to come home!"

"I wanted to trust you, I wanted to believe you, but I knew it all along, you couldn't handle all of this!  I raised our three children BY MYSELF while you ran off and did whatever you wanted to do.  They kids barely even know you, and you never come home, you were never even there for any of their birthdays!"

"I don't want to see you again, and I don't want you anywhere near my children.  We're done, get out of my life."

"Mom, are you sure you want to do this right now?"
"Yeah Silv, it'll help me take my mind off of... SQUIRREL!"

Alright, not an update, but I didn't realize how close Gold was to becoming a Teen in-game.  Now that they're all teens, here are some better pictures of them for the heir poll.

Silver
Traits - Friendly, Family-Oriented, Irresistible, Disciplined

Bronze
Traits - Friendly, Animal Lover, Heavy Sleeper, Artistic

Gold
Traits - Friendly, Eccentric, Cat Person, Good

Thanks for voting, everyone who did!  The results are:
1 - Silver
0 - Bronze
4 - Gold

--------------------

Bronze is a dashing young man, isn't he?  I'm proud to say he doesn't remind me of his father.

His driving terrifies me though, just like his sister's.

Dad died, and I met Mom in town the next day.  She's still grieving for him, after all the time she led him on and he just smiled and devoted himself to her, she really was in love with him.  I wish my own marriage had turned out that happy, but I know now it wasn't meant to be.  I did what I could to console her a little, and I'm glad I met up with her when I did.

Mom died the next day, and I went to the mausoleum and pulled her and Dad's headstones out of the crypt so they could have a little sunlight.

I'm glad she got to meet her grandchildren, and not just my three, but Marq's son as well.

Little Clyde has Dad's eyes, I think they were all thrilled about it.

Gold became a stunning teenager!  She's smart, funny, and knows what she wants from life.  I admire her, and I think she knows it, but it doesn't go to her head.

She fell in love with cats and begged me to let her adopt one.  So little Duke came to live with us.

Bronze fights her for some time with him when he's not busy, he loves all animals.

He became an adult not long after he came to live with us, and while I don't think he's the cutest thing in the world, at least Gold is happy.

We had our first burglar, and hopefully our last, but it's a good thing I'd installed the alarm when I moved in.

I'm working my way up the Con Artist ladder.  It might not be what most people want out of life, but hey, I make good money.

Silver's finally a young adult and got a job in the Culinary career.

Everyone can tell Gold loves cats.

Gold adopted a little female for Duke.

Gold might disagree, but three kittens is way too much.

Gold is a beautiful young woman, and she's the only one of the kids who's shown an interest in moving out right now.  The other two want to get a little further in their careers, but Gold has always been a bit more... eccentric, I guess.

Life hasn't turned out the way I expected it to.  I'm divorced with three children and five cats, I'm a professional con artist, and both of my parents are dead.  Now, I'm not saying I'm unhappy with my life, but... you have to admit, it's not the ideal way to live.  I'll find love again, eventually, I hope, and I know my kids will as well.  Part of me really wishes Mom was still around, and not just as a ghost.  There's a lot of things I wish I could talk to her about, or actually get a hug from her again that I can feel.  When life hits rock bottom, you have nowhere to go but up, and up's looking pretty good.

The city wasn't too thrilled about letting me buy one of the parks so I could live there, but they're struggling and my family's been here forever, I think.  What choice did they have?  I closed the park and put up a house with Mom's blessing and, erm, monetary help.  I like the way it looks, everything's as eco-friendly as I can make it without going to the junkyard, but that's certainly an option in the future.  It's not huge, but it's home for Tay and I.  Oh, Tay's one of Duke's kittens, she was the one I wanted to bring with me, the others are going to do well with Bronze, he loves animals.

I invited my friend Shon over to see the new place, his mind is an interesting thing to pick at.  He's married, but I guess...

Everyone has their weak moments, and I'm not looking for anything permanent.  Shon knew it would be a one-time thing too, and I made sure it was really clear afterward.  No worries!

After living my whole life with furniture and appliances that had already been upgraded, it was weird for me to have to do the initial upgrades myself on the new house.  Hey, at least it gave me something to do while I was waiting for the weather to clear.  It's no fun being an Angler in the winter, right?

When I'm not upgrading the house, I'm trying to cook for myself.  I'd used the toy oven when I was a kid, and I'd watched cooking shows with Silv sometimes, but this is a little different, I have to live on this stuff.  Good thing I'm planting some fruit and veggies in planters around the house, at least now I know where my food's coming from.

When I found out I was pregnant, I just went with it.  Of course I let Shon know, but we both know I'd rather do this myself, and I don't want him to leave his happy life for one moment of weakness.  I'm tough, I can handle it just fine.

I was finally able to start fishing in the pond on the property, though the raccoons and wild horses like to get in the way sometimes.

Yeah, I was fishing when I went into labor.  Just headed back inside, like I said, I'm tough.

It wasn't long after that I had Shark...

...and Angel.  Twins huh?  Shouldn't be too hard, right?
