How Buggy Is WA Still?
« on: August 04, 2010, 03:03:29 PM »
Since Ambitions and the patch, I thought most of the new bugs must be gone, but I just discovered that the "can't excavate" problem remains. Is it safe yet to travel if you value your family (invisible people, missing people, etc.)?

Some of these things are still here, I don't know how many but I have had a sims turn invisible since Ambitions but she did come back after I had saved and exited.

I had my first invisible sim in Twinbrook the other day.  I was going to play the Rackett household and when I went in the house, it showed that one of the sims was downtown, so I went to find her and all I saw was a plumbob hovering over a bench.  Top left corner, showed she was reading, so I clicked on her to go home and the action kept going away and you could tell she was sitting there waving, like something was in her way, you know, we have all heard that cry before, lol.  So I gave up and just left without saving.  I have not tried again, but it will probably work, also funny seeing a guitar floating in air when an invisible sim is playing it.  That is what I saw before I left this family, when I went back to the house, funny.

Frankly, I've had no problems with traveling or using any of the WA features. I only have WA and vanilla, and the experience has been great. I feel bad for many of those who have complications with traveling, but I have had nothing wrong in my experience. I think that many of the bugs are by chance, and I got the long end of the stick. You might have the long end of the stick too. If you see WA on sale (I bought mine with an EA store discount), or you can convince a family member to get it as a gift, there's not as much to lose.
