Traditions

Well, in my sims family its  a common tradition I do to have my sims get 2,400/2,400 on the aptitude test, starting preparing at toddler. Anyone else do this? Also, feel free to tell other traditions.

I don't know if you would call it a tradition but I always have my toddlers read all the toddler skill books and max out xylophone and peg box as well as learn walking, talking and potty training before I age them up! And children always have to max cooking and that kids play table thing!

Anytime there is a toddler in any of my stories, I try to get a screenshot of them being Attacked by the Claw, since that animation is just too cute.

Oh and I always cancel the newspaper before the first edition gets there because I get annoyed having to clean it up every day!

Ditto!!!  I wish it was reversed in that you have to call and request the paper from the start rather than always having to cancel the silly thing.

While I haven't maxed out to the 2400 on the aptitude test, I am making sure that my kids at least get the full scholarship.  It's very sad but I've made a spreadsheet so I can track how many more skill points I need for each subject.

thats extremely hilarious! Do you use cheats for $$ instead of having to get your kids full scholarships?

Haven't had to.  I find making money in Sims pretty easy.  If you have pets, get a dog and a cat (if you're single).  Have the cat hunter and teach the dog to hunt.  I had a dog who's first hunt netted some Tiberium.  I got it cut, left it out on a counter and let it grow and sold it for 36k. :)  Easy money.
