Problems With Mermen and Glitches

For some odd reason when a merman goes to swim in my game, he starts off swimming like a mermaid, but then spins like hes changing an outfit and starts swimming like a normal sim. His tail never shows up and he stays in his swimwear. This is happening to all merman in my game. If anyone knows what's happening or how to fix it, please tell me.

Also, when I go to an underwater dive spot, no sea life or shells spawn besides sharks. I would appreciate any information anyone can give me.

Do you have any mods or CC?  When was the last time you cleared your caches?  Have you tried changing the scale color on your merman?

In my game Salty Seaworth swims and dives like a merman but he doesn't have a tail.  Is he suppose to?

Yes Salty definitely has a tail.  It's black and silver.  Is Salty in your household or outside of it with this glitch?

Hmm Salty has never had a tail that Ive seen in the 3 games I have started inside household or outside household.  When I first encountered him I thought he was a ghost at first.  You can't CAS a merman's tail though right?  Only Salty has this issue, all the other mermaids/men Ive encountered have tails.

I fixed it.  I went into CAS and changed the colors of the scale back and forth and now I see Saltys beautiful tail.
