The Diving Skill

I forgot to mention, and haven't seen anyone else do so, but I found an underwater camera in the Island Paradise items in buy mode.  It's fun just taking pictures of what's down there with the Sim.  Hats off to the game developers who put so much attention to detail in this expansion.

I agree it's a bit difficult to advance in the Diving career.  My earnings from dive jobs don't go toward the career earnings, which is just wrong.  It becomes tedious to always search for fish and seashells with slow advancement.

I'm hoping it's an EA bug that divers don't earn career experience from dive jobs.  Does seem kinda silly.

Dive jobs are basically opportunities which have never gone towards self-employment.

Even without the simoleons from diving work going towards the diving job, it's still a good way to earn money. I got 16,000 simoleons just by delivering 2 eels, I was pretty shocked to be honest. My sim also won a fight with a shark, and as Pam said, she received the pumped moodlet and a shark's tooth appeared in her inventory which was pretty good as it was the last shell I needed. I must say, I am loving the scuba diving skill, even snorkelling is pretty good for killing a few sim hours, it's relaxing to watch.
