Are there cheats which raise your skill really quickly? Thanks.  :D

Only with a mod, that I know of.  You can send your sim to the library to read the skill books and it goes faster because of the library buff.  If that helps.

The higher your mood, the quicker you will skill.
Traits affect skilling speed.
Chinese Incense will boost skill building by 15 to 20%.
Trainig athletics at home boosts skill building more than training at a gym.
None of these are cheats, but hopefully it will help? :)

You can use Make Mood Static, which doesn't increase skilling speed, but it does max out all of the motives so you don't have to take breaks from skilling.
I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

According to this guide there's a 15% boost to athletic skill raising if you put buzzberry in the food you're cooking. I haven't tried it myself yet, but hopefully it's true. The other spices that come with University Life have some interesting effects too. Maybe you should check them out if you haven't already.

There is a computer, the tabcast, which is available in the store, this helps with many skills.  Your sim can listen to the tabcast while doing something else at the same time, and listening to it raises mood at the same time.

If you give your sim the bookworm trait and always have them read skill books in the library they will skill up (when reading) far more quickly in all skills which have books.

If you also take the ambitious trait, the sim will tend to be happier as this gives them a real boost in happiness points.  The happier your sim is, the more quickly they will skill up.

Play music, even take the stereo to the library, again, this will boost happiness and therefor skilling.

If you have WA get the incense burner available in China, this also boasts skilling if burnt in the same room as your sim.  (It does not work if your sim is outdoors.)
“In this world, there is nothing softer or thinner than water. But to compel the hard and unyielding, it has no equal. That the weak overcomes the strong, that the hard gives way to the gentle -- this everyone knows. Yet no one asks accordingly.”
