Gardening skill special opportunities..

Help! I can't seem to get a special opportunity with the gardening skill.  I really want to plant omni plants.  Can anyone give me some way to get it faster than normal?  I currently have all my skills maxed except for logic and charisma.

I would really appreciate it.

The Force Events and Opportunities cheat is the only way I know of that would help you :

But, I'd stick with it. The restaurant opportunities that eventually lead to the Omni Plant all come via phone call and you don't have to answer the phone. You see the message flash on the screen. The only problem might be if you accidentally cancelled it at some point not knowing what it was. I don't know if you'd be offered it again. I would think you would, but I'm not certain.

I have played games where the opportunities I wanted just wouldn't come and other times I got them right away. It's just random.

The only non-cheat way I know is if you only have gardening skill. Then you will only be getting gardening opportunities. Maybe if you spend most of your time gardening and not doing anything else it will help.

I think you do get them again. But it can take a very long time of course.

I second what PJ said about concentrating on the gardening skill.  I have found for myself, that if I have my sim garden every day that the gardening opportunities come my way faster then if I am doing other things with my sims.  I currently have a sim that is working on just 4 skills, gardening, cooking, fishing and handiness.  My sim gardens everyday, even when I just started the game up.  He would go around town and harvest until his own garden took off.  He is working on the 10 excellent cheeses at the moment and then will be working on the steak and burgers.  Good luck with getting your opportunities!!

Ya, sadly the force events cheat will only help with career events, there's no way to force a skill event. The only way is to keep your Sim interested in that skill as PJ said, so we've gotta do a lot of gardening and keep the skill opportunity slot clear at all times. Wait for the first in the chain http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/skills/gardening/opportunity-secret-plants.php, do it and wait some more.. the omni plant opportunity takes some time. They are very lucrative once you get them going though because of the expensive things you can duplicate.

Thanks for the replies.  I'll try to concentrate on the gardening skill and see if i can get the opportunities.

And this might be a stupid question but....

Can you duplicate cars?? XD
