Stuck Action

My sim has a stuck action! Any other action I queue that action just slides over the stuck one. After my sim does whatever action the stuck one is still there! And I can not delete it. Please help thanks!

Have you tried using the reset sim cheat?

Sometimes Sims can get stuck in a place they can't get out of, an object might be stuck to your Sim or they may simply stop moving and will not respond no matter what you do.

This makes Sims unhappy.

There's a way to fix that.

First open the cheat window by holding down Ctrl + Shift + C; all three keys at once. This will pause the game and make the screen a little darker.

Now type the cheat resetSim Firstname Lastname and press enter.
You should of course use the name of the Sim that needs help. Make sure everything is spelled correctly and exactly as shown (it may be case sensitive) and remember the spaces; you won't get an error message if it's not right, it just won't work.

For example if Gobias Koffi is stuck, type: resetSim Gobias Koffi.

This will return the Sim to a "safe and neutral state" which means they will appear somewhere on their home lot with all their needs in the green. This works for all Sims, not just the ones you're controlling.
It may sometimes cancel their wishes or moodlets but it's still better than having a guitar glued to your head.

If you need to reset all Sims in your current game the code is:
resetSim *

And you tried resetting the town?
Maybe try using edit town and evicting your sim from their home, and moving them back in. They'll lose all promises wishes, as a warning.

I've had that a few times. All I have ever had to do was save/exit/reload.

No, I saved and they are still stuck. Another minor thing I forgot to mention is that The father was grilling and then the interaction got stuck on the father and the mother. I got rid of the grill. It didn't work! It does not bother the sims, they can still do stuff but its very annoying! Thanks everyone!

EDIT: Come to find out, one toddler age daughter has it, too!

If it's not preventing you from doing anything, does it matter?   I've had this happen with IF aging up.  Cleaning my caches and restarting the game always got rid of it for me.

Well no but it is very annoying. I suppose I can deal with it and clean out my computer a tad bit. Thank you. I will see if that works!

I've had this happen recently - a stuck sim person. Nothing seemed to work. So I ended up having to reload from a previous save. Luckily I had just saved a few minutes before they got stuck. So maybe if all else fails, you could go back to a previous save if you have one?
