Cleaner Problems
« on: June 12, 2013, 12:29:36 PM »
So whenever I order anyone who cleans ( Maid, Bonehilda, Butler ) They'd just complain at my front door.  If there's something dirty etc dirty dishes they'd just go and clean it but if there's nothing else the butler would just carry on complaining

This is not specifically a LN issue so I'm going to move it to the Miscellaneous Help board.

Welcome to the forum, RandomGuy.  If the helpers are just complaining at your front door, perhaps it's because they can't get into the house.  Are you sure the door is unlocked?  I once had a similar problem - I couldn't figure out why the maids kept leaving without doing anything - until I finally realized that the door was locked.  One of many silly things I've done in this game.  ::)

That would be my guess as well. Also, if you locked the door for your sim and their household, be aware that Bonehilda and maid don't belong to your household.

If it's not locked doors it's possible something is dirty and there's no access to it.  I've had trouble with leaf piles and foundations before, where the leaves start rotting under the house and the maid couldn't get to it, so he stood outside yelling all day every day.

The easiest way I know of finding out if that's the case is to add a sim with the neat trait into the household and have them clean the house (should be an option when clicking on an interior floor).  Keep the mouse over their queue and watch to see if they initiate an action then suddenly drop it and complain about pathing.  That should point you to the trouble spot(s).

It's not the door, nor the shortage of space. Everything is fine, as my household can use it perfectly well and so can any guests that I have. For the maid it's not a big problem, but the butler and bonehilda who you would have to dismiss is really annoying.

Again, I have said that as soon as everything is NOT dirty, the two would just complain wherever they are and my only interaction is "Stop doing that" which my sim tells he/she and after they just carry on complaining.

Also, Thanks for moving the thing. I'm a noob at this stuff..

That's why I suggested having a Neat sim try cleaning the house.  It's possible there's something they think needs to be tidied and can't get at (leaves, a pile of garbage, a juice container they can't reach, etc.).  For me it was the rotting leaves hidden under the foundation, which I didn't even know was possible until the maid kept pitching fits.

If that fails (as in your neat sim goes through the entire clean house routine and doesn't have any pathing problems or complaints) it's possible they're trying to access an item they consider fun that they can't get to.  Like a sprinkler in a locked away garden, or an unlocked sprinkler with stuff in the way of jumping through it.  What they might be wanting to get at I'm not sure, since I don't know what would lure Bonehilda, a butler, and a maid equally.

Hi, well I realised that the butler would do other silly things as well, such as when I request him/her to make a meal, he/she would begin making it, and then would go around in circles and clean up the previous attempt and try making a new dish. This endless loop has been going on for the past 5 minutes and my sims are starving since only one person can fit in our kitchen. I would just make another fridge, but I kinda want my butler to make food for me, as I never got to use that before. :-\
