Fireman won't leave my house

Hi There.  I have been playing for just one week.  My Sims home had a fire.  I called the fire department and the fireman showed up.
I also had my Sims go home and she actually put the fire out.
Ever since then, the fireman won't leave.  He seems stuck in one place. He shows up under my acquaintances but I can't interact with him.
Any suggestions please?

Have you tried resetting him?  Control-shift-C to bring up the cheat panel, then type in ResetSim Firstname Lastname (where it says Firstname Lastname you enter the name of the stuck Sim).  Hopefully that should send him back where he belongs!

It worked.  Thank you so much.  He went over to my Sim while she was sleeping and told her to be more careful. LOL..
